The Canada Media Fund (CMF) partnered with industry leaders to present 64 events throughout Canada and internationally in 2017-2018. These partnerships are valuable opportunities for the CMF to gauge the current state of the industry, inspire new ideas, foster industry innovation, and promote Canadian content and talent.
The CMF’s partnership strategy focuses on building stakeholder relations, gathering and disseminating industry intelligence, promoting successful content, developing business opportunities for producers to support coproduction and communicating key messages to the industry. It is also designed to support the CMF’s strategic objectives and contribute to the consultation process by allowing stakeholders several opportunities to meet with CMF representatives.
The CMF applies a partnership evaluation frame of reference to take into account current and future objectives, as well as to evaluate the return on investment of its partnership program.
